Alison Ludecke Recital

Our main event of the season was. the recital of Baroque and contemporary organ music by Alison Ludecke. We had an audience of about 55 people, who enjoyed her fascinating insights into the origins of Baroque organ music, particularly from north and south Germany, as she performed the following program:

Fantasie in G Major – J. S. Bach

Variations on “Freu dich sehr, o meine Liebe” (Comfort, comfort, oh my people) – Johann Pachelbel –

Vater unser in Himmelreich – Georg Böhm

Concerto in A minor – J. S. Bach (after Vivaldi)

Fantasy on the Golden Sequence – John Karl Hirten

Variations on “Outbursts of Spring Triumphant” Mary Beth Bennett

We all enjoyed refreshments and conversation after the recital.
